Use of social media in veterinary practices

More and more vet practices are using networking as part of their standard portfolio of marketing tools. A recent survey of more than 2700 European vets found that this trend is only partly true, as it's not universal.  In the UK and the USA more than 80% of practices used social networking while only 23% in France. In fact, across Europe marginally more than half (54%) of vet practices use social media to advertise or promote their services.

While Facebook may be the more widely used social media platform, there are again large differences in its use across countries. In France only 9% of vets used it, while in Germany it was also a low 19%. Facebook had the highest penetration in vet practices in the UK and the USA. The other popular platform…
